So this is the safe place we were promised, huh? Oh, sorry -- safer. Except I was told safe, and I bet a good number of you were, too.

Three attacks in less than a year really doesn't feel safe, to me. And maybe all any of us can do is stop this kind of thing as it happens, but that's better than nothing, if worst comes to worst again and the staff don't manage to stop it before it happens.

So this is what I'm offering, more or less with permission from Scott.

Any of you who wants it, I'll teach whatever I can to help you fight your way out of trouble. Knifework. Shooting handguns - there's a range near here. Some hand to hand, but it's not my strongest point and I'll be working on improving that myself - and it's also not the kind you'd learn in any formal class.

So, if you want to take me up on it, you only have to ask and we'll start as soon as I'm healed. You know where I am.
